The “Hodal Treatment” is certainly unique among Ayurvedic treatments, and there are alot of stories and even myths surrounding the treatment. This website is our humble effort to compile all the information and FAQs from those who have undergone treatment.

The treatment is based on the ancient science of Ayurveda; perfected and passed down through guru-sisya parampara (disciplic succession) which Master Nahar Singh Vaidyaji, affectionatly called “Vaidyaji”, has been practicing since the past 60 years and has successfully cured many patients with diverse complications.

He does the treatment as a service to his Guru and Radha Krishna, without accepting any payment or gifts in return. (The medicine cost 700 rupees per 15 day batch – no more, no less.)

Important information

Please read the following notes carefully. If you intend to follow this treatment you should be ready to follow these points because if you do not the treatment may either not work, or have reverse, harmful effects if not followed strictly.

1. The treatment consists of 2 phases, “Medicine” and “Ghee” phase. You should understand and be prepared to follow both phases strictly. The medicine phase can last from 3 months to 10 months, and the ghee phase as well. You CANNOT skip the ghee phase, it is actually 60% of the treatment.
2. You cannot start and stop the treatment. In the best case it will only delay the process. If you have to travel to Hodal and back to your home you can stop medicine (and drinking of 8-10 liters) for maximum 4 days. if for some exceptional reason you are forced to stop the medicine phase in the middle, you should should some of the ghee phase.
3. You must drink 8-10 liters of water per day. Drinking less has dangerous effects. It may sound and be hard for the first couple weeks but it becomes easy with a regulated schedule.
4. You must follow the diet strictly. Eating things which are not allowed can delay treatment or even have negative harmful effects combined with the medicine.
5. You have to get new medicine a maximum of every 2 months, it has to be fresh and will not keep longer than 2 months. Be prepared to travel to Hodal and meet Vaidyaji every 1-2 months.
6. You have to do some exercise. During the medicine phase it is enough to walk, but better to run or some other form of exercise. NO HEAVY LIFTING of more than 5kg. During the Ghee phase you have to run full power, for at least 15 minutes. The heart has to race.
7. You cannot lift, pull, push, more than 5 kg during the medicine phase and for a few months after (during ghee phase).

The Diagnoisis

Nadi Pariksha literally meaning examination of the pulse or pulse reading, which is a crucial aspect of any Ayurveda treatment. In this regard the Vaidyaji revealed to us how he was trained under his Guru (photo right) continuously for 22 months until he got his pulse reading 100% perfect.

Many people report having previously been to many Ayurveda practitioners but none come closer to him with an exact and detailed diagnosis.

Please note here that this treatment does not cure patients suffering from AIDS, Psoriasis, Hysteria and Asthma.

Most people arrive for a Diagnosis between 6AM and 11AM because you must come on an empty stomach – no eating or drinking since the night before until after the diagnosis.

He speaks a little English, and his son may be there to help translate as well. But speaking as actually not so important, other than the few questions he may ask. He is able to see everything in your pulse, and will then give you the medicine.

He says even for a healthy man, it is necessary to increase breathing rate by exercise/yoga: kapalbhati/climbing stairs/running… he said that he has been doing this everyday 5 times and is healthy for 90 years now!

Location

Located on the south side of the town of Hodal, about 1 hour north of Vrindavan and the Highway to Delhi. If you are flying in or out of Delhi airport he is conveniently located on the way to/from Vrindavan.

The treatment is to be done at home, there is no facility to do the treatment at his place.
